    Fall in San Pedro

    The leaves are changing, the weather is cooling down and the town of San Pedro is hosting a series of spectacular events that you won't want to miss. From Halloween bashes to the best farmers markets around, there's plenty to do near the Vue apartments in California. Here's what you can look forward to.

    Halloween Carnival in Peck Park

    Peck park is kicking off this list with their Halloween Carnival this weekend, October 27th. This year features the "Haunted Walk" where visitors can experience a spooktacular version of the regular trail, food, and fun games. Make sure to bring your costume! There will be a contest for best dressed.

    Happy Harbor Halloween & Pet Parade

    This exciting event takes place right on the L.S. Waterfront from 10 am to 2 pm on the 28th. Dress your pet up in an adorable outfit and show off just how how cute they are in the parade, then enjoy the festivities. Live music, arts and crafts, games, face painting, and more will all take place after the parade. Best of all, this one is free!

    St. Peter's Art Day

    If this wonderful Fall weather has you feeling artsy, then head over to St. Peter's Episcopal Church on October 28th to see a spectacular array of works from local San Pedro artists. The church will feature everything from oil paintings to handmade jewelry and so much more. This community art event also hosts hands on projects for children to take part in.

    The Growlers Present

    On Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th, head over Berth 46 for an amazing weekend of live music from some of the coolest alternative artists around. Hosted by The Growlers, each night features over 25 artists playing on the outer harbor stage. Modest Mouse, Juilian Casablancas, Butthole Surfers, Bad Brains, and The B-52's are just a taste of what you can expect at this rockin' event.

    Cabrillo Marine Aquarium Sea Scare

    Head over to Cabrillo Marine Aquarium for "thrills, chills, and gills" with their Sea Scare. This family friendly event features trick-or-treating, crafts, and plenty of other Halloween themed events. Kids can do the Monster Mash in the part zone or get lost in the haunted maze while dressed in their best costumes. Food truck vendors will be on-site to keep everyone fed and happy.

    Dia de Los Muertos

    The town of San Pedro is hosting their annual Dia de Los Muertos festival once again. Whether you are a faithful patron of this even or have never been to a Day of the Dead festival before, you can rest assured that this will be one amazing time. This combination of art and culture delivers a blend of delicious cuisine and live entertainment like no other. The celebration will take place on October 29th from 3 to 9 pm.

    Spooky Pedro Walking Tour

    Were you aware that downtown San Pedro holds a haunting history? Join historian Angela Romero and psychic Mary O'Maley for a walk through this historic locale as they attempt to contact the dead and give detailed information about this area's past. Who knows, you might just see a ghost.

    Local Harvest Farmers Market

    The farmers markets in this town are always teeming with art and entertainment. What makes November 3rd's so special? Fall vegetables will have come to full harvest! Sweet potatoes, pumpkins, and all sorts of winter squash will be in their prime, so make sure to get your fill while enjoying the festivities.

    Circus Vargas Steam Cirque!

    Are you a fan of big top circus acts? How about steam punk? If you answered yes to either, then you'll be excited to hear that Circus Vargas is putting on a retro-futuristic production filled with elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and steampunk. If you've never seen this troupe perform before then now is the time! Spectators of all ages will be dazzled by this stellar performance, guaranteed.

    The Night Before the Night Before Christmas

    This play by Cricket Daniel features a man named Lou who is fed up with the holiday season. He decides to leave his New Jersey home behind and spend Christmas somewhere warmer, preferably with a Pina Colada in hand. His plans are ruined when a freak snowstorm hits the area. Stranded, a cast of unlikely characters are tasked with helping Lou restore his holiday spirits. Will they succeed? You'll have to watch this hilarious take on a classic Christmas themed play for yourself to find out! Showings begin Friday, November 10th.
